A vibrant yoga camp at Navlakhi Ground in Vadodara saw over one lakh participants coming together to celebrate the ancient practice ahead of International Yoga Day on June 21. Organized by the Gujarat State Yoga Board and Vadodara Municipal Corporation, the event highlighted yoga’s role in promoting physical and mental wellness. People of all ages enthusiastically joined in, performing various asanas in a collective display of health consciousness.

Shishpal Rajput, Chairman of the Gujarat State Yoga Board, addressed the crowd, emphasizing yoga’s growing importance in combating modern-day stress and lifestyle diseases. “Yoga is not just exercise—it’s a path to holistic health,” he said, applauding the large turnout and announcing similar events across Gujarat. The excitement will continue with a River Fund program in Ahmedabad, where Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel is expected to participate.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the public’s enthusiasm for Yoga Day and confirmed his participation in Andhra Pradesh’s grand celebrations. Visakhapatnam is gearing up for a record-breaking yoga session, with 2.5 lakh people set to perform together along a 27-km coastal stretch. With such nationwide momentum, this year’s International Yoga Day promises to be the most inspiring yet!
