Bhattacharya elaborated in a recent interview with PTI that his party is making strategic preparations at the grassroots level, aiming to contest around 40-45 seats, a significant increase from the 19 it contested previously. Tejashwi Yadav’s RJD, the alliance’s largest party, contested 144 seats and achieved a strike rate of approximately 52 percent, winning 75 seats.

Another figure of interest is Prashant Kishor with his Jan Suraaj Party. Bhattacharya accused the ruling BJP of reversing its previous stance on the issue, implying that this move serves political ends ahead of the Bihar elections.
