Even as the Sensex and Nifty dipped into the red on Thursday, some stocks defied the trend and posted impressive gains. Shikhar Consultants Ltd. led the charge with a whopping 50% surge, while Karma Energy, Karda Const, Zenith Birla, GTL Infra, and Lancor Holdings all jumped over 15%. Talk about a bright spot in a gloomy market!
The BSE Sensex was down 310.71 points at 82,204.43, and the Nifty 50 dropped 86.31 points to 25,055.1. Out of the Nifty50 stocks, only 14 managed to stay in the green, while 36 struggled with losses.
It wasn’t just about the big gainers though. Stocks like National Fittings, Fundviser Cap, and Eris Lifesciences hit fresh 52-week highs, showing there’s still some momentum in select corners of the market. On the flip side, Softsol India, Pulsar International, and a few others hit new 52-week lows. A mixed bag for investors, but definitely an interesting day for those tracking the action.
