Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami recently unveiled a new book titled *Swasthya Ke Prahari* (Guardians of Health) authored by children’s literature writer Lalit Shaurya. The book aims to spread health awareness among the general public in an engaging and accessible manner. Dhami emphasized that the book presents various diseases through interesting stories, making it easier for readers to understand and retain crucial health information.

The release event took place on Saturday, where the Chief Minister highlighted the significance of public health education. He believes that such initiatives play a vital role in creating a healthier society. The book’s storytelling approach is designed to engage both children and adults, making health education more relatable and less intimidating.

But that wasn’t the only focus of the day. Earlier, CM Dhami attended the All India Oil Sector Meet in Dehradun, organized at the ONGC Community Centre. During the event, he emphasized the state government’s commitment to green energy under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. He pointed out the coordinated efforts in economy, ecology, and technology to promote sustainable energy solutions.

One of the key initiatives he mentioned was the *Chief Minister Solar Self-Employment Scheme*, which is actively promoting clean and green energy across the state. The Chief Minister also spoke about the significant role of hydroelectric projects like Tehri, Koteshwar, Pipalkoti, Lakhwar, and Vishnugad in establishing Uttarakhand as an energy hub. Additionally, he expressed optimism about the untapped potential of geothermal energy in the state.

Dhami didn’t stop there. He stressed the importance of natural resources in national development, particularly fuel, which powers both economic progress and daily life. He praised the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) for its substantial contributions to India’s energy security, producing 70% of the country’s crude oil and 84% of its natural gas.

Reflecting on the broader vision for India, the Chief Minister reiterated PM Modi’s ambition of achieving a self-reliant and developed India by 2047. This includes strengthening energy security through strategic reserves and exploring alternative energy sources like solar and green hydrogen.

Expansion of gas pipelines under the *One Nation, One Grid* initiative, the convenience of an improved gas distribution system, and the success of schemes like *Ujjwala* were also highlighted. The Chief Minister noted the positive impact of bio-CNG plants and increased foreign investments in the oil and gas sector.

He concluded by acknowledging ONGC’s contributions in Uttarakhand, which continue to benefit the state’s growth and development. With initiatives like these, Uttarakhand is making steady progress toward sustainability and self-reliance.
