Mumbai’s bustling startup scene just got a major boost. IndusInd Bank has unveiled its ambitious ‘Indus StartUp Banking’ programme, aimed at empowering early-stage startups across India. The initiative promises a full spectrum of banking, credit, and value-added services tailored to help new ventures thrive from day one. With India now home to over 1.75 lakh DPIIT-recognised startups, this move positions the bank as a key ally in the country’s fast-growing entrepreneurial landscape.

Startups under 10 years old can now apply for the programme via the bank’s website or by emailing startup.banking@indusind.com. The offering is designed to take the operational and financial load off founders, allowing them to focus on what they do best: building disruptive businesses. Soumitra Sen, Head of Consumer Banking & Marketing at IndusInd Bank, shared his vision for the initiative. “We’re not just offering banking services. We’re becoming long-term growth partners for India’s brightest entrepreneurs,” he said.

What’s on the table? A lot. Startups signing up get a Startup Current Account with a three-year waiver on non-maintenance charges. They’ll also gain access to a developer portal featuring 250+ APIs, seamless payments and collections solutions, and corporate salary accounts for employees. But it doesn’t stop there. The bank is throwing in beyond-banking perks like tax filing support, legal advisory services, HRMS solutions, and even ESOP management tools.

Founders also get access to premium PIONEER lounges in eight major cities Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Pune, Chandigarh, Jaipur, and Kolkata. These spaces are perfect for hosting investor meetings or brainstorming sessions. Additionally, the programme includes exclusive personal banking benefits and expert-led sessions to help founders navigate the challenges of scaling a business.

IndusInd Bank isn’t new to supporting startups. The lender has already forged strategic partnerships with AIC STPINEXT, DPIIT Startup India, and IIM Lucknow EIC. This latest programme cements its commitment to nurturing India’s innovation-driven economy. For founders looking to simplify their financial journey, ‘Indus StartUp Banking’ might just be the game-changer they’ve been waiting for.
