The political heat in Bihar is rising as Union Minister and LJP (Ram Vilas) President Chirag Paswan has launched a sharp attack on RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, accusing him of being involved in vote duplicacy. The controversy comes ahead of the upcoming Bihar assembly elections, adding fuel to an already charged political atmosphere.

Paswan didn’t hold back during his statement, directly questioning Yadav’s credibility. “Who is giving rise to this situation of doubt?” he asked. The LJP chief pointed out that Yadav had recently held a press conference claiming his name was missing from the electoral rolls, only for the Election Commission to refute his claims and confirm his inclusion.

This led to serious questions about whether Yadav possesses two voter IDs. “If that is the case, it is extremely worrisome,” Paswan said. He went on to accuse Yadav of the very malpractice he had previously criticized, stating, “You are involved in duplicacy of votes, something you made allegations against.”

The drama unfolded after Tejashwi Yadav alleged that his EPIC (Electors Photo Identity Card) number had been changed. Addressing the media in Patna, Yadav had expressed frustration, stating, “My name is not there in the electoral roll. How will I contest the elections?” The Election Commission’s swift rebuttal, however, has only deepened the controversy.

Adding to Yadav’s troubles, a complaint has been filed against him at Digha Police Station in Patna. Advocate Rajiv Ranjan submitted the complaint, alleging that Yadav holds two different EPICs. Ranjan has urged authorities to take legal action, further intensifying the political showdown.

Bihar is gearing up for assembly elections later this year, though the Election Commission has yet to announce the exact dates. The ongoing accusations and counter-accusations between key political players suggest a fiercely contested battle ahead.

The LJP (Ram Vilas), led by Paswan, is set to contest the elections as part of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA), which includes JD(U). With stakes this high, every allegation and counter-allegation is being scrutinized, making the road to the polls anything but smooth.

As the political drama unfolds, all eyes remain on Bihar, where the question of electoral integrity and fair play continues to dominate discussions.
