Getac Technology Corporation has officially launched its AI-ready rugged device portfolio in India. This move targets the country’s diverse and demanding operational environments. The new lineup is built for professionals facing extreme weather and remote locations.

It aims to serve key sectors like pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, automotive, and transportation. The launch aligns with India’s accelerating digital transformation. Industries are rapidly adopting Industry 4.0, EV ecosystems, and advanced infrastructure projects.

There is a growing demand for intelligent mobile computing solutions. These devices promise higher productivity and stronger compliance assurance. They combine advanced processing with field-proven durability.

Getac’s latest offerings include Copilot+ PC innovations. The F120, UX10, and UX10-IP are powered by Intel Core Ultra processors. An integrated AI Boost NPU delivers substantial computing power for on-device AI.

This enables real-time diagnostics and predictive maintenance directly in the field. Professionals can perform advanced analytics without returning to an office. Applications range from smart factory monitoring to pharmaceutical compliance workflows.

The F120 is a fully rugged tablet with a compact form factor. It features a bright 12.2-inch display for excellent outdoor visibility. This device is purpose-built for India’s Industry 4.0 adoption.

It supports real-time production monitoring and inspection workflows. With MIL-STD-810H and IP66 certification, it withstands harsh conditions. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 7 and 5G Sub-6 with Dual SIM support.

Hot-swappable batteries ensure operation across multiple shifts. This is crucial for continuous work in manufacturing and transportation hubs. The design prioritizes uninterrupted productivity.

Next are the UX10 and UX10-IP fully rugged tablets. They are incredibly light, weighing just 1.15kg, for all-day mobility. The 10.1-inch display delivers full computing performance in a portable package.

The UX10 excels in manufacturing, automotive, and transportation sectors. It handles tasks from MES terminals to vehicle diagnostics. The specialized UX10-IP features a sealed design for cleanroom environments.

This makes it ideal for India’s pharmaceutical industry. It meets strict GMP and WHO-GMP standards for repeated cleaning. The device supports LIMS integration and SAP Quality Management workflows.

Then there is the V120, a fully rugged convertible laptop. It offers desktop-class power for engineers and technicians beyond the desk. Its design transforms from a laptop to a tablet for flexible field use.

Powered by an Intel Core Ultra processor, it is ideal for automotive and EV sectors. Applications include ECU testing and connected production workflows. Configurations support up to 64GB RAM and 2TB SSD for heavy tasks.

It features a high-brightness display and dual Thunderbolt 4 ports. Hot-swappable batteries maintain productivity during extended operations. This device performs equally well in labs and on outdoor test tracks.

India’s industry landscape is undergoing rapid transformation. Government initiatives like Atmanirbhar Bharat and PLI schemes are key drivers. There is a strategic push toward digitalisation and electrification across sectors.

These measures aim to strengthen domestic capabilities and global competitiveness. The manufacturing sector’s growth could add significant value to the global economy. India is steadily cementing its position as a global manufacturing hub.

The Union Budget encourages wider adoption of digital technologies. Focus areas include manufacturing, logistics, and field-based operations. Getac’s devices are designed to enable measurable outcomes in this context.

In manufacturing, they provide real-time visibility into MES dashboards. This reduces downtime and improves throughput on the shop floor. Inspection and tracking workflows become more efficient.

For the automotive and EV sector, they support high-performance diagnostics. Devices enable ECU testing and optimize connected factory operations. This is vital for assembly lines and outdoor test workflows.

In pharmaceuticals, rugged computing ensures compliance with strict standards. It supports secure data capture for LIMS and SAP QM in cleanrooms. This directly enables traceability and operational integrity.

Transportation sectors like aviation and rail also benefit. Digital MRO workflows and asset tracking improve safety and turnaround time. Crew coordination and operational visibility see significant enhancements.

Jerry Huang, Vice President at Getac, commented on the launch. He noted the need for devices that perform reliably under extreme conditions. Demand is rising for rugged, AI-enabled solutions that extend intelligence to the edge.

The expanded portfolio aims to meet these specific requirements. It enables data-driven workflows that improve productivity and operational efficiency. The goal is to equip field technicians with powerful AI capabilities.

All the announced devices will be available in India starting March 2026. This marks a significant step in supporting the country’s industrial and digital ambitions. Getac continues to focus on enabling extraordinary experiences for frontline workers.
