The Indian Super League 2025-26 season witnessed its first stalemate on Tuesday, February 24, 2026. Odisha FC and Inter Kashi FC played out a goalless draw at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar. This was Odisha’s first match of the campaign, while Inter Kashi looked to build on a promising debut.
The contest was evenly matched from start to finish. Both sides created chances but lacked the decisive finishing touch. The final whistle confirmed the first goalless draw of the new ISL season, with the points shared.
Despite a total of seventeen attempts from both teams, only four shots were on target. Odisha registered nine attempts and Inter Kashi had eight. Odisha’s Rahul KP was named the Player of the Match for his influential performance.
The visitors started brightly and created an early chance. In the very first minute, Inter Kashi midfielder Tomba Singh forced Odisha goalkeeper Amrinder Singh into a sharp low save from distance.
Odisha responded with pressure of their own around the fifteenth minute. Rahul KP fired over from long range after a quick transition started by Lalthathanga Khawlhring. Shortly after, Suhair VP headed over from close range following a set-piece delivery by Isak Vanlalruatfela.
Midway through the first half, Thoiba Singh won a free-kick for Odisha on the right flank. He later headed narrowly wide from Khawlhring’s subsequent delivery. Suhair again failed to hit the target from another set-piece situation.
At the other end, Inter Kashi’s Planas saw a close-range effort bravely blocked by the Odisha defence. The action flowed from one box to the other without a breakthrough.
Just before the halftime break, Odisha’s Vanlalruatfela tested Inter Kashi goalkeeper Lluis TarrĂ©s. His low strike from distance was gathered comfortably, sending the teams into the interval level.
The second half began with Inter Kashi pushing forward. Forward Rohit Danu had a header blocked inside the Odisha penalty area early in the period.
After the hour mark, Odisha came agonizingly close. Isak Vanlalruatfela’s left-footed effort from a tight angle was superbly blocked by Inter Kashi defender David Humanes.
In the seventy-third minute, Rohit Danu dragged a shot wide from the left after being found by Prasanth Mohan. It was another missed opportunity for the visiting side.
Deep into stoppage time, Danu tried his luck again from distance. His ambitious effort sailed just over Amrinder Singh’s crossbar.
Both teams pushed for a winner in the closing ten minutes. Inter Kashi appeared to threaten more as the clock wound down.
Yet, the finishing touch remained elusive for all players on the pitch. The final whistle blew, confirming a goalless draw.
This result provides both teams with a point from a hard-fought encounter. The ISL season continues with more action in the coming days.
